FAQ
Honest answers for complex trades.
Does Brinley replace the tools I already use?
No. Brinley Field is built to integrate with the tools your business already relies on — not to replace them. Xero, QuickBooks, Square, Helcim, Google, Outlook, Twilio, review platforms, lead sources — Brinley connects to these using your own credentials and provides the intelligence layer across all of them. You keep what works. We make it visible.
Do all plans include the same features?
Yes. Every tier includes the full Brinley Field Intelligence Platform. There are no feature gates. What changes between tiers is team size (users and locations included in base), your FieldSupport relationship (response time and depth), and the type of business structure supported (single entity, multi-entity, or network).
How does BYOI work?
BYOI — Bring Your Own Integration — means you connect third-party platforms using your own accounts and credentials. Brinley stores your credentials encrypted and uses them to read data on your behalf for reconciliation and intelligence. You own the connection, you own the data. Brinley never acts as a middleman between you and your payment processor or accounting platform.
How are users counted?
Brinley bills on peak concurrent users per billing cycle — not seat reservations. You're charged for the maximum number of people actively logged in simultaneously during the month. Add-on charges are settled at cycle close based on your actual peak. Users can be added and removed freely; you're never penalized for accounts that existed but weren't active.
How are locations counted?
Locations are separate data entities in the system — not just cities you service. If your team dispatches from one HQ and services 5 cities, that's 1 location. A second location is only needed when you want to segregate data (separate job queues, crews, reporting). Servicing multiple areas from one HQ costs nothing extra.
Are there any setup fees?
None. No setup fees, no onboarding charges, no hidden costs. Guided onboarding and starter templates are included in every tier.
How does Arcadian Pause work?
Arcadian Pause is one month per year where your subscription is fully covered — no billing, full access, crews keep operating normally. By default it applies in December. You can change the month to match your seasonal cycle, trigger it manually, or let Brinley suggest the best month based on your operation history.
What's the difference between Arcadian Pause and a free trial?
A free trial is a temporary test period before committing. Arcadian Pause is a permanent annual benefit for active subscribers — one month every year where you simply don't pay. You keep full access, your crews keep working, and you return from the pause with stability reports already generated.
What happens if I cancel? Can I get my data back?
Yes. You can cancel anytime with 30 days notice. Before your account closes, you can export all your data — jobs, customers, invoices, documents, everything. Brinley doesn't hold your data hostage. You built it. You take it with you.
Is there a mobile app?
Brinley Field is a web-responsive platform designed to work on any device — phones, tablets, and desktops. The offline-first mobile engine allows field techs to complete jobs, capture photos, and record notes even without signal. A dedicated native mobile app is in development.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The offline-first architecture means field techs can continue working without cell signal. Jobs, notes, photos, and form captures are queued locally and sync automatically when connectivity returns. Office staff see updates in real time as sync completes.
Can I migrate data from another system?
Yes. Brinley supports data migration from other field service platforms. The complexity and timeline depend on what you're migrating and from which system. Contact us and we'll walk you through what's possible before you commit.
How does the QuickBooks integration work?
Brinley pushes invoices and customer records to QuickBooks automatically — no double-entry, no manual export. Invoices created in Brinley appear in QuickBooks so your accounting stays current without reconciling two systems.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Integration credentials (API tokens, OAuth tokens) are stored with AES-256 encryption at rest. Brinley never stores full payment card numbers — only tokenized references and last-4 digits returned by your payment processor. Brinley is the data processor acting on your instruction; you remain the data controller for your customer information.
